POLICE HAPPY OVERALL WITH BLOSSOM FESTIVAL
?
Police are happy with the overall behaviour of those attending the annual Alexandra Blossom Festival, with the focus on maintaining a highly visible but low key approach, with assistance from the Invercargill based Maori Wardens.?
?
Senior Sergeant Ian Kerrisk said that there were no arrests made at Alexandra during the event, although a number of calls for service were received.
?
Three persons who had been at the festival were arrested at Queenstown for disorderly behaviour and a large number of service calls kept Police busy through the whole Central Otago and Quenstown Lakes area as people headed away from the event.?
?
The annual Drag Races which were also held at Alexandra on Sunday also attracted large numbers, and Police had a large Police presence but are still to debrief that event with organisors.
?
Service calls have also kept Police busy in the area as people head home from that event.
