Police arrested a 25-year-old woman last night in relation to yesterday's aggravated robbery of the Viking Dairy in Grange Road, Tauranga.
?
The woman appeared in the Tauranga District Court this afternoon and has been remanded on bail.
?
A 27-year-old Tauranga man was arrested this afternoon in relation to the same incident and will appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday 12 August.
?
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turners says the quick arrests are a direct result of members of the public taking the time to note and record the registration number of a motor vehicle used in the offending.?
?
"Local criminals need to take note of Western Bay of Plenty detectives' high batting average and quick resolution of recent aggravated robberies in Tauranga. ?The message is simple - offend and we will catch you - and it is just not worth the jail time for what have been small amounts of cash and cigarettes."
