Following the completion of a post-mortem and scene examination, information has been gathered that indicates the baby died of non-accidental injuries.?

A 22-year-old Porirua man has been arrested by Police and will appear in the Porirua District Court on 20 November 2018, facing one charge of male assaults female and assault on a child.

The investigation is still ongoing and Police are working closely with the family of the deceased to ascertain further facts.
