Invercargill Police are investigating an incident where a 12-year-old walking to school was approached by an unknown person.

The incident occurred between 8 - 8.30am on Monday 4 February, near a park on Iona Street.?

The person was on foot and was described as wearing dark clothing, dark shoes and dark head wear.?
