A man has been found dead following a fire at an Invercargill residential property overnight.

Emergency services responded to a fire at a block of five flats in Tramway Road shortly after 1am. ?

The deceased man was subsequently located in one of the flats. ?

Police are currently in the process of identifying the man and locating his next of kin.?
?
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage and a fire investigator is currently on site.

Victim Support is working with those displaced by the fire.
