Police can now name the man who died following a crash between a car and a truck in Eskdale, north of Napier, on Thursday 14 February.?

He was 36-year-old Scott Michael Faulkner of Hastings.

Police extend our sympathies and sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

Victim Support are providing assistance to both Mr Faulkner’s family and a truck driver involved in the crash. The truck driver was not injured.?

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.?
?
Police would like to hear from anyone travelling on State Highway 5 between Taupo and Napier on Thursday 14 February, who may have seen the crash or the silver Mitsubishi station wagon driven by Mr Faulkner.
