One person has been killed in a crash on Pourerere Road in Central Hawke’s Bay this morning.

Emergency services were notified at 5.35am that a vehicle had rolled down a bank.

The passenger died at the scene and the driver has sustained minor injuries. ?

Pourerere Road is closed near the intersection of Clareinch Road while the Serious Crash Unit examines the scene. ?

The road is expected to remain closed for a couple of hours and Police thanks motorists in advance for their patience.
