A search is under way in the Rangitikei River this evening for a teenage boy reported missing.

Police were notified of the missing boy at 6pm.? ? He had last been seen in the river around 45 minutes earlier, near the bridge where State Highway 1 crosses the river. ? Police and family members are searching for the boy, with the assistance of a local jet boater and ?the rescue helicopter. ?
