Police are asking motorists to avoid Rockfield Rd in Penrose as emergency services attend a serious crash.

Around 9.06am a car appears to have crashed into a fence on Rockfield Rd. The single occupant driver is being treated by Ambulance services and is reported to be in a serious condition.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Traffic diversions are in place between Konini Rd and Marei Rd. Traffic is expected to be diverted until around midday.
