At approximately 5.40pm, Police and other emergency services were called to a head-on collision involving a car and a ute on State Highway 25 near Kopu.
A female has serious to critical injuries, and a male has lesser but also significant injuries.
Road diversions are in place at the intersections of SH25 with Ngataipua Rd and SH25 with Hauraki Road. ?
The section of road will be closed for some time as medical staff and the Police Serious Crash Unit attend.
