Two arrests in Gore

Gore Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to an incident at the BP Railway Esplanade on 4 June.

During the incident, the man is alleged to have presented a taser at another man, following an altercation between the two.

The 27-year-old Gore man was arrested yesterday and has been charged with unlawful possession of a restricted weapon and threatening a person.?
?
He is scheduled to appear in Invercargill District Court today.
?
Police would like to thank the Gore community for information provided to assist our enquiries into this matter.
?
An associate of the man, a 24-year-old Gore woman, was also arrested yesterday and has been charged with dangerous driving and failing to stop.?
?
These charges relate to an incident in Invercargill on 5 June, where the woman failed to stop after being signalled to do so by Police.?
?
The woman is scheduled to appear in Gore District Court on 15 June.?
