Police have completed a scene examination following a crash on State Highway 30 near Braemar Road this afternoon.?

The crash occurred just after 2pm. Initial enquiries indicate that an eastbound vehicle crossed the centre-line into the path of an oncoming vehicle.?

One person was airlifted to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition, and three people were taken to Whakatane Hospital with moderate injuries.
