Waikato Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 48-year-old Huntly man who was found dead in his home on Saturday afternoon (30 June).

A scene examination has been completed with the ESR forensic experts and a post mortem examination took place in Auckland yesterday.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and are endeavouring to piece together what happened.

Friends and family are very upset about this incident and are being supported by Police and Victim Support.
